HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING—
Even with a full house, Drexel Hall can be kept cool in the summer and warm in the winter with it's up-to-date heating and cooling systems.

HANDICAP FACILITIES —
There is a handicap entrance as well as a handicap restroom on the ground floor.

PARKING—
There is off street parking south of the building on Baltimore Ave.

KITCHEN—
Drexel offers a large catering kitchen with an easy access ramp from the outside.

POLICIES GOVERNING USE OF DREXEL HALL

1) All Renters must sign a contact agreeing to the conditions stated. The contract shall serve as a binding agreement between the Renter and DREXEL HALL.

2) Fees for rental of DREXEL HALL are assigned on the basis of thirteen (13) hours use of the facilities (from noon, day of the event to 1 a.m. the following day). The rental event must finish no later than 1:00 a.m. and only cleanup will be permitted in the building after 1 a.m.

3) Deposit - Contract Services. There is a $500.00 damage deposit. This deposit is refundable after the rental if there is no damage or loss to the HALL or grounds. All trash must be removed by 2 a.m. of the day following the event or a minimum charge of $100 will be deducted from the deposit. If there is damage or loss or if the terms of the rental agreement are not followed, these deposits will be used to cover the cost of additional clean-up time, repair or replacement. To the extent that it is not adequate, the excess will be paid by the Renter.

4) DREXEL HALL is not responsible for any rental or personal property lost, damaged, or stolen on the premises.

5) Confirmation of the Renterıs reservation for use of DREXEL HALL is dependent upon receipt by the house manager of full payment of the security and clean up deposit and rental fee with the contract which has been signed by the responsible person and written approval of caterer and musicians. In the event liquor is to be sold, confirmation also requires the appropriate “Certificate of Deposit” naming DREXEL HALL as additionally insured.

6) Cancellation of the functions will result in the forfeit of the rental fee. Cancellation must be in writing. DREXEL HALL will make every attempt to re-rent and if successful, will refund the rental fee less a $100 administrative charge.

7) DREXEL HALL can accommodate a maximum of 500 guests for a standing reception. Table size, placement and number of chairs will reduce this occupancy accordingly. Strict adherence to this capacity is required.

8) The Renter shall instruct the caterer to provide all personnel, food, drinks, linens, tableware and extra furniture as needed. ALL DELIVERIES MUST BE COORDINATED WITH THE HOUSE MANAGER. Personnel for setting up, taking down and storage of rental equipment shall be provided by the Renter or contracted for through the caterer. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL VEHICLES BE ALLOWED TO CROSS SIDEWALKS, CURBS OR GRASS IN FRONT OF DREXEL HALL. RENTER WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED AND TOTAL SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED.

9) The Renter and the caterer shall have access to DREXEL HALL at noon, day of the event, unless previously approved in writing by the House Manager. Renter is to remove everything brought into the Hall including trash, debris, empty bottles, flowers and decorations. Unless prior permission is granted by the House Manager, all materials and equipment must be removed from the HALL immediately after the function. Any cost of repairing damage or of replacing lost equipment attributed to the caterers will be billed to the Renter.

10) Throwing rice or confetti (glitter, acrylic) is prohibited. Potpourri or birdseed are suggested (outside only please). If candles are used, an extra cleanup fee may be charged for wax drippings.

11) Renters will be expected to abide by the Kansas City Noise Control Code which states that between the hours of 10:00 p.m. ­ 7:00 a.m. the sound level will not exceed 60 decibels. Music in the Hall will be required to be turned off at 12:00 a.m. and the staff person on duty will have authority to require Renters to keep noise at a reasonable level within the above guidelines.

12) Smoking is not allowed in Drexel Hall and Renter will be required to see that this rule is strictly enforced.

13) Renter will be given keys to DREXEL HALL and will be responsible for securing all doors, turning off all lights and returning utilities to minimal settings at the conclusion of the event. No copies of the keys may be made. All keys must be returned prior to refund of deposit.

14) Landlord shall have the right to cancel this agreement with sixty days written notice if DREXEL HALL is acquired by any government authority through condemnation proceedings or in the event the property is sold to any third party.

15) Renter will be held responsible for any water damage to floors or area below the floors if damaged by careless handling of food, drink or ice products.

16) No KEG beer is allowed in DREXEL HALL. All ice and iced drinks must be kept in insulated chest containers.

17) Rental fees include 100 chairs and 10-60" round tables. Extra chairs are available for 50˘ each and extra tables for $5 each.

18) In the event of the employment of an attorney by DREXEL HALL because of the violation by Renter of any term or condition of this Rental Agreement, Renter shall pay such attorneyıs fees and other costs of expenses incurred by Landlord in connection herewith.
